On January 3rd, 2025, at about 10:35 AM, Worcester Police Vice Squad officers were conducting surveillance in the area of May St when their attention was drawn to a gray Nissan that pulled up to a female on foot. The officers observed a hand-to-hand exchange between the female and the operator of the Nissan.
Some officers followed the vehicle, while others stopped the female on foot. Officers recovered what appeared to be crack cocaine from the female, and the Nissan was stopped in the area of Park Ave.
The officers removed sixty-five-year-old Bruce Monfreda, of Maywood St, forty-seven-year-old Heidi Provost, of Crystal St, thirty-three-year-old Michael Kohlstrom of Millbury, and twenty-six-year-old Nam Nguyen of Sophia Drive, from the vehicle. Officers located a large amount of what appeared to be crack cocaine in the vehicle.
The four individuals were all arrested. Mr. Monfreda and Mr. Kohlstrom are charged with Distribution of a Class B Substance, Possession of a Class B Substance with Intent to Distribute and Conspiracy to Violate the Controlled Substance Laws. Ms. Provost is charged with the same charges, plus an outstanding arrest warrant. Mr. Nguyen is charged with the above-mentioned charges, plus Trafficking in a Class B Substance 18-36 Grams and an outstanding arrest warrant.
