On September 23rd, 2024, officers with the Worcester Police Vice Squad received information about the location of a male with an active warrant. At approximately 7:59 PM, officers stopped a vehicle with twenty-eight-year-old Andre Tyndale seated in the rear passenger seat.
Tyndale was ordered out of the vehicle and placed under arrest for his warrant. Officers discovered a firearm on the floor under the seat where Tyndale was sitting as they removed the other occupants from the vehicle. Further investigation showed Tyndale does not have a license to carry. The Crime Scene Unit arrived on scene to secure the firearm, which was loaded with one round in the chamber and had no serial number.
Tyndale is charged with Carrying a Loaded Firearm Without a License, Unlawful Carry of a Firearm, Possession of Ammunition without an FID, Improper Storage of a Firearm, and the active Warrant. The operator of the vehicle and the other passenger were not charged.
