On September 30th, 2024, at approximately 10:25 PM, detectives with the Worcester Police Department’s Gang Unit and Crime Gun Intelligence Unit were patrolling the area of Harrington Way following a report of a passenger of a vehicle pointing a firearm at the caller. Gang Unit detectives then observed two males wearing all black and ski masks, which matched the description of the suspects. As detectives approached, the males began to run.
One of them, later identified as eighteen-year-old Shiloh Labadie of Worcester, tripped during the pursuit at which time a detective noticed a firearm on his person. A second firearm was found next to a phone which Labadie claimed was his. Detectives confirmed that he did not have a license to carry. The Crime Scene Unit arrived on scene and processed and collected the firearms.
Labadie is charged with carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a loaded firearm, trespassing, possession of ammunition without an FID card, and improper storage of a firearm. A search for the second suspect is underway.
