On June 20th 2024 at about 2:21 PM, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to the Bennet Field Pool at 1260 Main St for a report of a large fight. Upon arrival, officers saw a group of about twenty youth in the parking lot. Earlier in the day, officers had responded to a similar call for a fight and had separated two groups. Officers once again began to separate two groups when they received information that one of the females had a gun.
Officers were told that the female, later identified as twenty-year-old Briana Henriquez of Whipple St, was threatening people with a firearm and had shown the gun. Officers located Ms. Henriquez in the area of Capalta St and located a handgun with a defaced serial number in a bag she was carrying. She does not have a license to carry firearms and was placed under arrest.
She is charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Use of a Firearm while Committing a Felony, Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, Possession of a Firearm with a Defaced Serial Number, Improper Storage of a High Capacity Firearm, and Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card.
