On April 23rd 2022 at about 4:40 AM, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to Armsby Abbey at 144 Main St for a commercial alarm. Upon arrival, officers observed movement inside the building. Officers used their flashlights and illuminated the interior, where they located a male attempting to hide behind a pillar in the restaurant.
The male attempted to escape out the back, but officers took him into custody. The male was identified as Rafael Perez-Crespi, twenty-seven-years-old of Main St. Officers verified that he was not supposed to be in the building. They located several credit cards with different names on them and a thin metal rod. He was placed under arrest and is charged with Breaking and Entering at Nighttime for a Felony, Larceny from a Building, and Possession of a Burglarious Instrument. He will be arraigned in court.
