On April 24th 2022 at about 10:48 AM, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to the area of King St for a report of a person with a gun. On their way to the call, officers received a description of a male at the corner of Main and King St who was reported to be showing people on the street a firearm. Officers arrived on scene and located a male on Main St matching the description given by dispatch.
Officers approached the male, identified as Ramon Aviles, forty-six-years-old of Pelham St, and told him to show his hands. Officers located what appeared to be a loaded handgun in Mr. Aviles’ jacket pocket. Officers confirmed that Mr. Aviles did not have a license to carry firearms, and placed him under arrest. He is charged with Possession of a Firearm without a License to Carry, Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm, and Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card. He will be arraigned in court.
