On May 20, 2024, at approximately 5:32 pm, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to Millbury Street for reported assault with a dangerous weapon. The victim told officers that he stepped outside of his workplace and was approached by a man who threatened him. After a short verbal argument, the suspect moved along. The victim then went to a nearby convenience store and as he approached, the suspect exited the store and pulled out a knife. Fearing for his life, the victim said he also pulled out a knife. Both exchanged words and separated. An investigation led officers to thirty-seven-year-old Donnell Blocker of Worcester. A knife matching the description of the one given by the victim was found on Blocker’s person. He is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, threats to commit a crime, and possession of a per se dangerous weapon.
