On May 18, 2024, at approximately 10:12 am, Worcester Police Officers responded to a report of a fight among neighbors on June Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male who suffered a laceration to his throat. He stated that he had gotten into an argument with a neighbor who attacked him with a knife. Officers located the suspect in his apartment. Thirty-eight-year-old Kenneth Benson was arrested without incident. Benson is charged with assault to murder and assault & battery with a dangerous weapon. The victim was alert and conscious as he was taken to the hospital for treatment.
