WPD Officer Arrests Juvenile in Connection with Stolen Car
On Saturday, June 15th, 2024, at approximately 2:02 PM, a Worcester Police officer discovered a vehicle known to be stolen around Grafton and Waverly Streets. After confirming it was stolen, the vehicle passed an officer traveling toward Cutler Street. The officer noticed both males wearing face masks. The officer activated his overhead lights and siren in attempt to pull the vehicle over.
The operator was able to evade capture until the officer observed the two males running from the vehicle in the Addison Street area. The officer engaged in a foot pursuit and was able catch up with one of the suspects, a juvenile. The other suspect evaded capture.
The owner of the vehicle was contacted and arrived to recover his vehicle. The juvenile was arrested and charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle, trespass, and disorderly conduct.
