On January 5th 2023, Worcester Police officers assigned to the Neighborhood Response Team were on patrol in the area of King St. At about 11:45 AM, an officer observed a male, identified as Irving Maldonado, thirty-eight-years-old of Kingsbury St, approach three individuals on Kingsbury St. They observed one of the individuals give Mr. Maldonado what appeared to be paper currency, and Mr. Maldonado gave the suspected buyer a plastic bag.
Officers approached Mr. Maldonado and stopped him. They recovered multiple bags of what appeared to be fentanyl from Mr. Maldonado, who was placed under arrest and is charged with Possession of a Class A Substance with Intent to Distribute.
