On September 9th, 2024, at about 2:45 AM, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to the area of 465 Shrewsbury St for a report of a serious crash involving a motorcycle and a vehicle. Officers arrived and found that the operator of the motorcycle, a twenty-six-year-old Westborough man, suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash. He was pronounced deceased on scene by paramedics. The Crash Reconstruction Unit arrived and began the follow-up investigation.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the motorcycle operator was traveling at an extremely high rate of speed. He struck the vehicle, which was turning left, and was thrown off the motorcycle. The vehicle was damaged but the people inside were not injured. The incident is still under investigation.
