On December 4th, 2024, Worcester Police officers assigned to the Worcester Crime Gun Intelligence Unit and Gang Unit had a search warrant for a Main St apartment in connection with an active firearms investigation. At about 5 PM, officers detained Omar DeJesus Roman, forty-six-years-old of Main St, outside the elevator of the building. Officers recovered fentanyl from him.
Officers searched his apartment and located what appeared to be a loaded handgun with a defaced serial number. He was placed under arrest and is charged with Possession of a Firearm without an FID Card, Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card, Removal or Mutilation of Serial Number of Firearms, Possession of a Class A Substance (fentanyl) and Armed Career Criminal Level 2.
