UPDATE: After an investigation into this incident, Worcester Police detectives developed probable cause for the arrest of Armando Velez-Sanchez, thirty-six-years-old of Piedmont St. On July 13th 2023, Mr. Velez-Sanchez was placed under arrest.
He is charged with Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, Carrying a Firearm without a License, Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card, Discharging a Firearm within 500 Feet of Residence, Vandalism, and two counts of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).

On June 25th 2023 at about 9:49 AM, Worcester Police officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation in the area of Pleasant and Hawley St. When officers arrived, they discovered that shots had been fired. A residence on Newbury St and a parked vehicle were damaged. There were no reports of injuries from the gunshots.
