On Monday, March 27, 2023, at approximately 1:00 PM Worcester police were dispatched to 139 Eastern Ave for a report of a breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers observed a broken window. Officers were told that a female and male had entered an apartment. As officers searched the area, they found a woman trying to escape out a window with the help of a male later identified as Thomas Reid. The woman was hanging from the window. Officers safely helped her to the ground, and she was detained. Mr. Reid was told not to move. He reached into his waistband and appeared to have a firearm. Officers repeatedly announced for the Mr. Reid to come out with no response. K9 Beebs arrived on scene and entered the apartment with his handler. K9 Beeds alerted his handler to a bedroom door. Officers were able to make contact with Mr. Reid. He was taken into custody without incident. Officers did not locate any weapons. The female was identified as Cindy Moquin. She was charged with Trespassing. Thomas Reid, age 61, was charged with Trespassing, Breaking and Entering during the Daytime with Intent to Commit a Felony and Willful and Malicious Destruction of Property.
