On July 18th 2023 at about 12:30 PM, Worcester Police Vice Squad officers were conducting surveillance in the area of Millbury St. An officer observed a Honda Civic stop on Ellsworth St and engage in various behaviors consistent with drug dealing. Officers followed the vehicle to the area of Crystal Park on Illinois St, and they observed a male enter into the vehicle before exiting and returning to his own vehicle. Officers stopped the suspected buyer and discovered what appeared to be crack cocaine.
Officers stopped the driver of the Honda, who was identified as Rob Baez, thirty-one-years-old of Warwick, Rhode Island. Officers discovered a large amount of what appeared to be crack cocaine, several bags of suspected fentanyl, bags of what appeared to be powder cocaine, and pills believed to be MDMA. Mr. Baez was placed under arrest and is charged with Trafficking in a Class B Substance 18-36 Grams, Possession of a Class A Substance with intent to Distribute (fentanyl), Distribution of a Class B Substance, and Possession of a Class B Substance with intent to Distribute.
