On October 3rd, 2024, the Worcester Police Vice Squad had a search warrant for a Piedmont St address. At about 8:30 PM, officers saw one of the targets of the warrant, twenty-two-year-old Kavin Andino, exit the apartment. Officers entered the apartment and detained Mr. Andino, who threw a bag of what appeared to be cocaine prior to being detained.
A search of the apartment revealed a large amount of what appeared to be cocaine, a large amount of what appeared to be fentanyl, pills, and packaging materials. Kavin Andino was placed under arrest and is charged with Trafficking in Cocaine 100-199 Grams, Trafficking in Heroin 36-99 Grams, and Conspiracy to Violate Drug Laws. Forty-eight-year-old Julio Maldonado and twenty-nine-year-old Marian Calis were placed under arrest and face the same charges as Mr. Andino. Twenty-two-year-old Jerry Landrau of Grafton St was arrested and charged with Conspiracy to Violate Drug Laws, Possession of Brass Knuckles, and Interfering with a Police Investigation.
