On February 10th, 2025, Worcester Police Vice Squad officers had a search warrant for a Plum St apartment. At about 6:30 AM, officers entered the rear of the apartment and detained three individuals. As officers entered the apartment, other officers observed someone throwing a loaded handgun out of the window. The firearm was recovered.
Officers searched the apartment and recovered bags of what appeared to be powder cocaine, what appeared to be fentanyl, and what appeared to be crack cocaine. Officers located a large capacity feeding device loaded with 9mm rounds, packaging materials, and scales.
Officers arrested twenty-five-year-old Drayal Perez Deaza, twenty-seven-year-old Karina Vargas, and forty-one-year-old Lisbed Rodriguez. Mr. Deaza is charged with Possession of a Loaded Firearm without a License, Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card, Possession of a Firearm during Commission of a Felony, two counts of Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, Trafficking in A Class B Substance 36-99 Grams (cocaine), Trafficking in A Class A Substance (Fentanyl) 18-36 Grams, and Improper Storage of a Firearm.
Ms. Vargas faces identical charges but is charged with Trafficking in a Class A Substance (Fentanyl) over 10 Grams instead of 18-36 Grams. Ms. Rodriguez is charged with an outstanding arrest warrant and Possession of a Class B Substance with Intent to Distribute.
