On April 10th 2022 at about 2:05 AM, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to the area of Rumors Nightclub on Park Ave for a report of a large fight, possibly involving firearms. Upon arrival, officers observed a large crowd but no active fight. Officers were told that there was a fight inside the establishment that spilled outside, and those involved went to the parking lot across the street.
Officers responded to the parking lot, where they heard yelling and the sound of something breaking. Officers observed a gray sedan with a broken vehicle mirror next to a gold SUV. The occupants of the Gold SUV were trying to leave the lot, and officers conducted a motor vehicle stop. They observed that an occupant of the SUV, Erick Perez-Torres, twenty-two-years-old of Winifred Ave, had abrasions on his face and officers received information that he was involved in the fight.
Officers removed the occupants of the vehicle and discovered two loaded handguns in the vehicle. In addition, officers discovered bags of a white powder substance that appeared to be cocaine in Mr. Torres’ bag. Mr. Torres, operator Monique Reyes-Navarro, twenty-three-years-old of Winifred Ave, and Xavier Perez-Franco, forty-years-old of Florida, were placed under arrest. Ms. Reyes-Navarro, Mr. Perez-Franco, and Mr. Perez-Torres are charged with two counts of Unlawfully Carrying a Firearm without a License, Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm, Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card, two counts of carrying a Loaded Firearm, and two counts of Improper Storage of a Firearm. Mr. Perez-Torres is additionally charged with Possession of a Class B Substance. They will be arraigned in court.
