On April 17th 2022 at about 8:20, Worcester Police officers were on patrol in the area of Polar Park when they were approached and given information that a male was breaking into cars on Goddard St. The officers drove to Goddard St and observed a Jeep with a smashed driver’s side window. They saw a male on a bicycle, who they knew as Jose Garcia-Alicea, thirty-three-years-old of Noel Ct, biking away from Goddard St.
When they got closer to Mr. Garcia-Alicea, they observed that he was carrying a female purse, his pockets appeared to be stuffed with various items, and his hand was bleeding. Officers received additional information linking Mr. Garcia-Alicea to the car break, and he was placed under arrest. Officers found several items that belonged to the vehicle owner, and they were returned. Mr. Garcia-Alicea is charged with Larceny over $1200, Breaking and Entering into a Depository, Malicious Destruction of Property under $1200, and Possession of Burglarious Tools. He will be arraigned in court.
