On July 25th 2023 at about 5 AM, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to the area of Risso Court for a ShotSpotter activation. Upon arrival, officers began searching the area. After a brief investigation, they determined that shots had been fired. They observed two males on foot, one of whom was wearing a fanny pack. The male, later identified as Jordan Reyes, twenty-three-years-old of Vernon St, left the fanny pack behind and attempted to flee on foot.
Officers caught up to Mr. Reyes and detained him. A loaded handgun was discovered inside the fanny pack, along with multiple bags of what appeared to be crack cocaine.
Mr. Reyes does not have a license to carry a firearm and was placed under arrest. He is charged with Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, Carrying a Firearm without a License, Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm, Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card, Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, Possession of a Class B Substance and Armed Career Criminal.
