On July 26th 2023 at about 4:53 PM, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to the area of Auto Zone on Park Ave for a report of an armed robbery and shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a forty-one-year-old shooting victim. They rendered medical aid to the victim, who was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
Officers began the preliminary investigation. They determined that a male robbed the victim, and shot him during the confrontation. The male fled the scene on foot. Detectives and Crime Scene Unit personnel began the follow up investigation.
