On January 22nd 2023 at about 11:20 AM, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to a Perry Ave address for a dispute. Officers received information that two males, identified as Hector Castillo, twenty-two-years-old of Pioneer Rd, and John Fox, thirty-five-years-old of Pioneer Rd, were threatening a resident because they wanted to take over his apartment. Mr. Castillo and Mr. Fox had previously seen the apartment through a mutual friend. Officers received information that both Mr. Castillo and Mr. Fox had pointed a silver handgun at the resident and threatened to kill him, on separate occasions.
Officers made entry to the apartment and located Mr. Castillo and Mr. Fox, neither of whom have a license to carry firearms. Officers placed them both under arrest, and located a loaded silver firearm, what appeared to be fentanyl, packaging materials and a scale.
Mr. Castillo had outstanding arrest warrants, and is additionally charged with Possession of a Firearm without a License, Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony, Improper Storage of a Firearm, Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Handgun), Intimidation of a Witness, and Threatening to commit a crime (Murder). Mr. Fox is charged with Possession of a Firearm without a License, Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony, Improper Storage of a Firearm, Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Handgun), Intimidation of a Witness, Threatening to commit a crime (Murder), and Possession of a Class A Substance with intent to Distribute.
