On March 19th, 2025, at about 5:24 PM, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to the area of Main and King St for a report of a person with a gun who had just been involved in a dispute. The male was described as wearing a gray jacket and having a fanny pack. Officers arrived on Main St and located Andrew Toney, forty-years-old of Queen St, who matched the description of the male with the gun given by the caller.
Officers approached Mr. Toney, who became agitated. When Mr. Toney was detained, an officer felt what appeared to be a firearm inside the fanny pack, and noticed what appeared to be the handle of a firearm sticking out of the fanny pack. Officers removed the item and determined that it was a loaded revolver.
Mr. Toney does not have a license to carry firearms. He was placed under arrest and is charged with Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, Possession of a Firearm without an FID Card (subsequent offense), and Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card.
