On May 2nd, 2024, Worcester Police officers were in the area of lower Pleasant St to look for forty-two-year-old Kyle Kelley, who had an active warrant for a crime related to firearms. At about 12:50 PM, officers saw Mr. Kelley and went to speak with him inside a neighborhood store. Officers approached Mr. Kelley and told him that he was under arrest.
Mr. Kelley walked away from the officers, and officers grabbed him and located what appeared to be a handgun on his person. Officers placed Mr. Kelley under arrest, what recovered what appeared to be a loaded handgun. Mr. Kelley does not have a license to carry firearms. He was arrested for his warrant, and is additionally charged with Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm, Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, Possession of a Firearm during Commission of a Felony, Unlawfully Carrying a Loaded Firearm, and Armed Career Criminal Level 3.
