On September 11th, 2024, at approximately 1:15 AM, Worcester Police officers conducted a periodic check of Castle Park. The park is closed from 10AM to 5 AM and there are several “no trespassing” signs posted. Upon entering the park, officers noticed three individuals and informed them that they were trespassing.
A folding knife was observed sticking out of the right pants pocket of one of the individuals, later identified as forty-eight-year-old Taino Reyes of Worcester. A search of his person led to the discovery of 12 small bags of crack cocaine in his left pants pocket, a small bag of heroin along with crack cocaine and 19 grams of Fentanyl in his fanny pack.
Reyes was placed under arrest and is charged with Possession to Distribute a Class B Drug, Trafficking More Than 10 Grams of Fentanyl, Possession of a Class A Substance and Trespassing. The other two individuals were summoned to appear in court for trespassing.
