On January 30th, 2025, at approximately 12:58 AM, officers responded to Front Street for a report of an assault with a dangerous weapon. Upon arrival, officers rendered aid to the female victim who was suffering from stab wounds to her arms and legs. She was transported to the hospital.
Later on, officers spoke with the victim at the hospital. She said was walking with the male when he began to grab her against her will. She told him to stop and when he did not, she took out a knife to protect herself. She says he then took out his own knife and began stabbing her.
Witnesses provided a description of the male suspect, who was located on Grafton Street. A knife was found on him. Fifty-year-old Gunga Collis of Worcester was arrested and charged with Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon.
