On September 21st, 2024, at approximately 11:03 pm, Worcester Police operations officers were dispatched to Southbridge Street for a report of a stolen motor vehicle. Upon arrival, officers located the vehicle and confirmed it was reported as stolen. It was occupied by a male, later identified as thirty-five-year-old Chad Jackson of Clinton.
The car was running and Jackson was asleep in the driver's seat. Officers safely turned the vehicle off and took the keys causing Jackson to wake up. He exited the vehicle. A search of his person revealed two loaded syringes along with several small bags containing fentanyl. Officers searched his backpack and found drug paraphernalia. Further investigation showed Jackson had two active warrants.
Jackson was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Class A, Receiving Stolen Property, Use of a Motor Vehicle Without Authority and the two warrants. The registered owner of the vehicle was contacted.
