On June 8th 2024 at about 3:20 AM, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to McDonald’s on Main St for a report of a male threatening customers and employees with a knife. Upon arrival, officers were told that the male was now chasing someone with the knife. Officers saw the male, later identified as thirty-one-year-old Raoul Slavin of Worcester, and commanded him to stop. Mr. Slavin refused, and started running. Officers caught up to him, brought him to the ground, and removed a knife from his pocket.
Officers gathered further information about the initial incident, and determined that Mr. Slavin threatened multiple employees with his knife. He left when he realized they were calling police. Mr. Slavin was placed under arrest and charged with two counts of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) and Disorderly Conduct.
