On March 18th 2023 at about 3 PM, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to the area of 220 Harding St for a report of a carjacking. Officers determined that a sixty-seven-year-old male victim was sitting in his parked Toyota SUV with his dog in the backseat.
A female approached the vehicle, entered it, and began striking the male in the head with her cell phone while attempting to steal the vehicle. After a brief struggle, the female obtained control of the vehicle and drove away from the scene, nearly striking the male victim. She initially drove away with the dog in the vehicle, but later dropped him off. The vehicle was entered into the system as stolen, and detectives arrived to investigate. The male victim was treated medically for abrasions on his face.
On March 20th 2023, at about 7:45 AM, an officer was on patrol in the area of Eastern Ave when he received a Lojack hit indicating that a stolen vehicle was in the area. The officer located the parked Toyota on Patch Rd with two individuals, identified as Tiffany Flynn, thirty-nine-years-old of Brookfield, and Kyle Bailey, forty-years-old of Belmont St, inside the vehicle. The individuals appeared to be sleeping inside the vehicle, and the officer called for backup.
After speaking with the individuals, the officer determined that the vehicle was stolen. After an investigation, the officer placed the two individuals in the vehicle under arrest. Tiffany Flynn is charged with Carjacking, two counts of Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, Assault and Battery on a Person over 60, and Cruelty to Animals. Kyle Bailey is charged with Receiving Stolen Property over $1200.
An individual on Vernon St located the dog and called the police, who returned it to its owner.
