On September 13th 2022, Worcester Police Neighborhood Response Team officers were on patrol in the area of Park Ave when they observed a white Mercedes make multiple turns without using its turn signal. The vehicle had heavily tinted windows and the officer had difficulty seeing inside. Two officer stopped the vehicle on Highland St.
The officer approached the vehicle and asked the operator, identified as Jysaiah Morales, twenty-one-years-old of Woodman St, to roll down the window. When the window was rolled down, officers observed an open container of Hennessy on the floor of the vehicle. The officers asked Mr. Morales and her passenger to step out of the vehicle. Officers located a loaded handgun in the vehicle, and Mr. Morales did not have a license to carry firearms. He was placed under arrest.
Mr. Morales is charged with Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm, two counts of Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, Improper Storage of a Large Capacity Firearm, Resisting Arrest, Possession of an Open Container of Alcohol, Failure to use directional signal, and Tinted Glass Violation. He will be arraigned in court.
