On April 18th, 2024, officers assigned to the Neighborhood Response Team were on patrol in the area of Green St. At about 10:20 AM, their attention was drawn to a stopped vehicle speaking with a male on foot. The officers recognized the male on foot as Erwin Vera, thirty-one-years-old of Merrifield St, from previous incidents.
The officers observed a hand-to-hand exchange between the male in the car and Mr. Vera. They confirmed that the buyer had purchased what appeared to be K2, or synthetic marijuana, and then stopped Mr. Vera. Officers located an additional 11 bags of what appeared to be K2 on Mr. Vera, who was placed under arrest and is charged with Distribution of a Class C Substance and Possession of a Class C Substance with Intent to Distribute.
