On April 13th, 2024, at about 12:42 AM, Worcester Police officers assigned to the Neighborhood Response Team were on patrol in the area of Pleasant St when they observed a vehicle operator driving erratically. They noticed that the vehicle did not have an active inspection sticker and had a plate light out. The officers stopped the vehicle on Summer St and approached it.
Officers observed multiple open containers of alcohol in the vehicle. They asked the operator, thirty-year-old Haley Jano of Oxford, and the passenger, thirty-four-year-old Daniel Jimenez of Loxwood St, to step out of the vehicle. Officers asked them both if they had any weapons, and they replied that they did not. Officers located a handgun in the vehicle, and neither Ms. Jano nor Mr. Jimenez had a license to carry firearms.

They are both charged with Possession of an Open Container of Alcohol, Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, Carrying a Firearm without a License, Improper Storage of a Firearm, Possession of a Firearm with a Defaced Serial Number, and Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card.
