On August 12th 2022 at about 8:15 PM, Worcester Police Gang Unit officers were on patrol in the area of Crompton Park when they observed a male, identified as Daylin Davidson, eighteen-years-old of Cutler St, walking on Harding St. The officers knew Mr. Davidson, who was wearing a fanny pack, and officers went to speak with him. As officers approached, Mr. Davidson went into a full sprint away from the officers. He crossed Harding St and disrupted the flow of traffic, and officers followed him on foot. Officers saw him jump a fence as he held on to his fanny pack.
Officers followed Mr. Davidson through the back yard of a residence on Sigel St. After a brief search, officers located him hiding in the hallway of an Endicott St residence and placed him under arrest. Officers searched the area and located his fanny pack, which contained two loaded handguns.
Mr. Davidson does not have a license to carry firearms and is charged with two counts of Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm, two counts of Carrying a Loaded Firearm, two counts of Carrying a Firearm without a License, two counts of Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card, two counts of Improper Storage of a Firearm, two counts of Use of a Firearm in a Felony, Disturbing the Peace, Disorderly Conduct, Trespass and Tampering with an Official Record. He will be arraigned in court.
