On July 16, 2024, at approximately 6:00 AM, members of the Worcester Police Department’s Gang Unit executed a search warrant at an apartment on Townsend Street in connection with an ongoing firearm investigation.
Officers entered the residence and informed the two occupants, a fourteen-year-old male and an adult male, that they were in possession of the warrant, which was read and explained to them. The juvenile was read his Miranda rights before the warrant was executed.
Officers searched the juvenile’s bedroom and located a loaded firearm inside of an unsecured bag, along with a spent shell casing. The Crime Scene Unit arrived on scene to collect the firearm.
The juvenile was arrested and charged with Possession of a Firearm without FID, Possession of Ammunition without FID and Improper Storage of a Firearm. The adult male was not taken into custody.
