On March 28th 2022 at about 3:40 PM, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to the area of 150 Pleasant St for a report of a serious pedestrian crash. Upon arrival, officers located the fifty-one-year-old male victim, who was being treated medically by Worcester Firefighters and Paramedics. The victim was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, and the operator of the involved vehicle was on scene. The Crash Reconstruction Unit arrived and began the preliminary investigation.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a gray Subaru Forester was driving West on Pleasant St while the pedestrian was walking East on the Pleasant St sidewalk. The vehicle traveled on to the sidewalk, struck the victim, then struck a fire hydrant and a parked car. The operator of the vehicle was also treated for injuries and transported to the hospital. The investigation is ongoing.
