The Worcester Police Department will be featuring unresolved homicides to bring them to the attention of the public. By doing so, we hope that a previously unknown witness or piece of information might lead to breakthroughs in these cases. The Worcester Police Detective Bureau works with the Massachusetts State Police and the office of District Attorney Joseph Early Jr. to resolve these cases.
Victim: 26-year-old Eddie Wheeler

On December 26th 1998, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to the area of Honey Farms on Harding St for a report of a fight. Officers arrived and discovered that twenty-six-year-old Eddie Wheeler had been shot. Mr. Wheeler was rushed by ambulance to the hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The investigation revealed that Mr. Wheeler had been out with his friends at Festa’s Dog House, a Millbury St club. The group with Mr. Wheeler was involved in a dispute with another group, and shots were fired during the altercation.
