On October 19th, 2024, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to a reported breaking and entering on Southgate Street. At approximately 12:08 AM, officers observed a vehicle with three males inside whose clothing matched the description of the suspects in the breaking and entering.
Upon approaching the vehicle, officers observed an open bottle of cognac and a knife in the driver’s side door. Officers confirmed that the operator did not have a valid driver’s license. All three males were told to exit the vehicle. A firearm was recovered from front seat passenger Jesus Dejesus-Santos of Worcester. The Crime Scene Unit was called in to secure the firearm.
Dejesus-Santos was arrested and charged with carrying a Firearm Without a License, Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm, Carrying a Loaded Firearm Without a License, Possession of a Large Capacity Weapon with a Feeding Device, Possession of Ammunition Without an FID Card, Possession of an Open Container of Alcohol. The operator of the vehicle was also arrested for Unlicensed Operation of Motor Vehicle and Possession of Open Container of Alcohol.
