On April 18th 2023 at about 6:26 PM, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to the basketball court inside the Clark University gym on Downing St for a report of a double stabbing. Officers located two male stabbing victims, who were given medical aid and transported to the hospital by ambulance with serious injuries. Officers began the investigation.
After speaking with witnesses, officers determined that a fight broke out during a basketball game, and the seventeen-year-old and twenty-three-year-old victims were stabbed. Officers developed probable cause for the arrest of Knowledge Bethea, eighteen-years-old of Meade St. They located Mr. Bethea on scene and placed him under arrest. He is charged with two counts of Armed Assault to Murder and two counts of Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (Serious Bodily Injury). He will be arraigned in court.
