On February 10th 2022, Worcester Police Neighborhood Response Team officers were on patrol in the area of Main and King St when they observed a female on foot wave down a male who was riding a moped. The male, identified as Orbin Medina-Cruz, twenty-five-years-old of Ingalls St, rode to a secluded area between two vehicles and began speaking with the female and another male. Officers observed hand-to-hand transactions, and moved to stop all three individuals.
Officers stopped the male and female and discovered a substance that appeared to be crack cocaine. Officers stopped Mr. Medina-Cruz and placed him under arrest for Distribution of a Class B Substance, Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Operation of an Unregistered Motor Vehicle, and Illegally Attaching Plates. When Mr. Medina-Cruz was in custody, officers discovered a large amount of what appeared to be crack cocaine packaged for individual sale. He was additionally charged with Possession of a Class B Substance with Intent to Distribute. He will be arraigned in court.
