On April 1 at 10:59am, police were called to a parking lot on Gold Star Blvd. for a welfare check. They discovered a male who appeared to be asleep in the driver’s seat. An officer knocked on the door but was met with no response. The officer then noticed a number of baggies containing what appeared to be cocaine. The officer banged on the driver’s side window several times until the male woke up. He was asked to exit the vehicle and he complied. Paramedics were called to the scene to make sure he was okay. Once cleared, 38-year-old Junior Robert of Worcester was taken into custody. Officers seized the suspected cocaine, which weighed approximately 28 grams. Robert is being charged with drug possession to distribute class B and trafficking in class B 18-36 grams.
