On April 10th, 2024, Worcester Police officers were working with the Massachusetts State Police VFAS, United States Marshals Service and the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office to locate and arrest eighteen-year-old Carter Webster for a warrant in connection with the Clarkson St shooting that occurred on April 7th.
At about 1:10, officers observed Mr. Webster, who was walking toward a motor vehicle on Grafton St. Officers converged on Mr. Webster, who had just entered the vehicle. Mr. Webster exited the vehicle and attempted to run away, but was taken into custody by officers. Mr. Webster struggled with officers, who realized that Mr. Webster had a handgun in his waistband. He does not have a license to carry firearms.
Mr. Webster was placed under arrest for the warrant related to the Clarkson St shooting. In addition, he is charged with Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License (2nd or Subsequent Offense), Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm, Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card.
