On August 9th 2022 at about 7:55 PM, Worcester Police officers assigned to the Neighborhood Response Team were on patrol in the area of Main and King St. Officers observed a male, identified as Jose Martinez-Ocasio, twenty-eight-years-old of King St, remove an item from his mouth and give it to another man, who placed the item in his own mouth. The second man gave him paper currency and they parted ways.
Officers stopped the suspected buyer and recovered what appeared to be crack cocaine. Officers stopped Mr. Martinez-Ocasio, and recovered additional bags of what officers believed to be crack cocaine. Mr. Martinez-Ocasio was placed under arrest. In the cell room, officers recovered bags of what appeared to be Fentanyl. Mr. Martinez-Ocasio is charged with Trafficking in a Class B Substance 18-36 Grams, Distribution of a Class B Substance (2nd or Subsequent), and Possession of a Class A Substance (Fentanyl) with intent to Distribute (2nd or Subsequent). He will be arraigned in court.
