On May 10th, 2024, officers assigned to the Summer Impact program were on patrol in the area of Everett Gaylord Blvd when they observed a vehicle with an expired registration go through a stop sign without stopping. Officers activated their blue lights and stopped the vehicle on Elliot St.
As officers spoke with the front seat passenger, who was sixteen-years-old, they observed what appeared to be the handle of a firearm protruding from a bag in front seat. Officers detained the sixteen-year-old and determined that the firearm appeared to be a loaded revolver.
The sixteen-year-old did not have a license to carry firearms and was placed under arrest. He is charged with Unlawfully Carrying a Loaded Firearm, Unlawfully Carrying a Firearm, Improper Storage of a Firearm, and Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card.
