The Worcester Senior Center, 128 Providence St., will reopen Tuesday, June 15.
The facility has been closed since March 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I am thrilled to welcome back our seniors to the Senior Center,” City Manager Edward M. Augustus, Jr. said. “We are excited about the renovations that have been made, including a completely reconstructed parking lot, a rain garden, and a new AARP FitLot. Other outstanding amenities, including a two-story wellness center, are in the works. The Senior Center is an invaluable resource and it is certainly gratifying to be able to once again open the doors.”
