Worcester, MA (November 17, 2015) - The Great American Smoke Out, an annual event promoted by the American Cancer Society, encourages smokers to set a quit date while providing access to resources and educational materials. This event is held annually on the third Thursday in November - this year on Thursday, November 19th.
To celebrate, the Worcester Division of Public Health will be staffing a table with the Healthy Options for Prevention Education (HOPE) Coalition from 8:00 AM until 6:00 PM Thursday at the Worcester Regional Transit Authority Hub, 60 Foster Street in Worcester. WDPH will be there with a pledge form and a poster that smokers can sign pledging to quit. Come by and make your pledge!
