Worcester, MA (November 16, 2015) - An unidentified male subject is wanted in connection with the theft of a total of 16 weapons from the Lincoln Stoddard United States Army Reserve Center, at 25 North Lake Ave. Worcester, Massachusetts. The break-in and theft occurred between the hours of 6:00 PM Saturday and 1:00 AM Sunday. The Worcester Fire Department and Worcester Police Department responded to an 8:39 AM Sunday call from an employee reporting smoke and signs of a break-in.
The Worcester Police Department is now actively collaborating with federal and state law enforcement agencies in the investigation. A Worcester police officer assigned full-time to the FBI is coordinating the department's participation in the investigation.
There is no indication that the crime is linked to any specific threat, according to the FBI. As a precaution, WPD has additional police presence in several key locations throughout the community, until further notice.
