WORCESTER, Mass. – The City of Worcester announced Wednesday the opening of beaches and Crompton Park pool on July 1, 2024. Cristoforo Columbo (East Park) and Greenwood Spray Parks will open early on Wednesday, June 26 at 12 p.m. (noon.)
Starting July 1, Bell Pond, Coes Pond Beach, Indian Lake Beach, and Shore Park as well as the Crompton Park pool, will be fully staffed with lifeguards, in partnership with the YMCA of Central Massachusetts. All facilities will be open seven days a week, 12 p.m. (noon) to 7 p.m. Beaches and Crompton Park pool will be open until August 18. Spray Parks will close Labor Day, Monday, September 2.
“We are thrilled to open our aquatic facilities fully staffed this year,” said City Manager Eric D. Batista. “We know that the City’s pools, beaches, and spray parks provide recreation, socialization, and much needed relief from the heat to residents of all ages. We are extremely grateful for the YMCA of Central Massachusetts’ partnership and look forward to a fun, safe summer.”
