Worcester, MA (February 17, 2016) - In the fall of 2015 the City of Worcester in conjunction with a representative group of neighborhood organizations and individuals held two meetings to discuss the development of a multi-generational, universally accessible park/playground on the property at the corner of Coes and Mill Streets.
The first phase for the park development currently comprises (at this time) a one million dollar grant that will support the actual development of the park infrastructure (design work, lighting, handicapped accessible walkways, landscaping etc.) and new recreational equipment. We anticipate other phases to be developed as we seek additional funding in the future.
