The Worcester Fire Department has been dispatched to Lawrence this morning as part of the D7 Central MA Task Force following a series of gas explosions and fires in the Merrimack Valley.
The Worcester Police Department and other public safety officials are on standby to assist under the direction of City Manager Edward M. Augustus Jr.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victim of the explosion in Lawrence and with all those that have been affected by the incidents in Andover, North Andover and Lawrence,” said the City Manager. “Mayor Joseph M. Petty and I have made public safety officials and first responders across the City available to aid those in Merrimack Valley.”
