For Immediate Release: 11/19/2024 3:00 pm

WORCESTER, Mass. – The City of Worcester reminded residents Tuesday of special parking rates, which will kick off on Small Business Saturday, to support the local business economy and cultural festivities.

Starting on Small Business Saturday on Nov. 30, parking will be free at all on-street metered spots throughout the city, as well as at the municipal surface lots on Green St., Water St., and Millbury St., every Saturday from Nov. 30 to Dec. 28, 2024. Additionally, Union Station Garage will be free on Saturday, Dec. 7.

When Worcester residents shop local, they not only support the local business community, but an entire supply chain of local distributors. The city is full of independent retailers, artisans, makers, boutique grocers, restaurants, and more offering a wide variety of goods and services, along with many local entertainment attractions offering family-friendly fun throughout the year.

“We ask that residents remember to shop small this holiday season and support all of the wonderful businesses that call Worcester home,” said Batista. “It is important we spend our dollars with businesses that are committed to the city and support the residents and families living here.”
